Notes

This was a mini online opera inspired by the famous play from 1920 by Karel Capek which introduced the Czech word 'robot' to the world. The opera follows the plot of the original play, but cast a set of social media messages from the future. The opera was commissioned by REFRAME at University of Sussex and officially premiered in 2014. The text, video and social media content were created by Martin Rieser and the music by Andrew Hugill.
